From Monday 20th July, access to the Hydrotherapy Pool, Spa and Sauna is a little easier for Bayswater Waves members. These changes will help make access clearer and more convenient for members. Frequently Asked Questions

HOW TO ENTER:

  • Members: Use your existing access card to scan reception on turnstile and scan at the hydro door.
  • Swim School Student & Spectators (Lessons scheduled in the Hydro Pool): Use your existing access card to scan reception turnstile and scan at the hydro door.
  • Casual Users: Purchase your casual entry at reception, you will receive paper wristband and a barcode ticket to scan at the hydro door.
  • Visit Pass: Register your entry at reception, you will receive paper wristband and a barcode
    ticket to scan at the hydro door.
  • Spectators: Spectator hydro entry ($0) received from reception, scan in hydro door.
  • Carers: Carers and support persons can register their entry at reception; you will receive paper wristband and a barcode ticket to scan at the hydro door.
  • MLAK Users: Non-members can obtain a free hydro entry ticket from reception.

USER FAQs:

  • When does this change start? You will need to scan your access card or barcode ticket from 20th of July 2026, the self-scan function on the hydro door is now live, we recommend starting to use this to make the future change easier.
  • Why is the change coming in? We receive frequent feedback from members about concerns of the paper wristbands; this change can reduce up to 50,000 paper wristbands from entering landfill.
  • What if I forget something in my car, leave the area and come back? Please remember your access card for of your barcode ticket to re-gain access.
  • Can I use the push button to open the door? The external push button to enter will be removed the week of the 20th of July. You can use the push button to entry until this time.
  • Do I need to scan out? No, the internal push button to exit will remain.
  • Can I share barcode entry tickets, scan someone else in on my card or use someone else’s membership to gain access? No, the entry tickets are not transferable and only issued to one person.
  • Members – What if I don’t want to carry my key tag access fob? You can trade in your key tag access for a waterproof silicone access wristband free of charge. Fees are payable for lost access passes.
  • Members – What if I forgot my access card? Please see reception and they will issue a temporary barcode ticket and a paper wristband.
  • Members- What if the door is already open from the person in front of me? Please scan your card to register your visit even if the door is open.
  • Swim School – What if a second spectator for my swim lesson arrives after I enter? Please see reception and they will issue a temporary barcode ticket.
  • Visit pass – Why can’t I scan my visit pass at the hydro door? Visit passes are per visit not per day, scanning your pass at the entry turnstile and hydro door will remove 2 visits from your pass. Please see reception upon arrival to receive a wristband temporary barcode ticket.
  • Casuals & Visit pass – What if I lose my barcode ticket? Please show your wristband to a Lifeguard and they will assist as soon as they can. There may be a small delay in gaining access as safety and pool supervision are priority for Lifeguards.
  • What if I have feedback? Please see reception and the team can report your feedback to the correct person
