Kids Programs

Looking for ways to keep the kids busy these school holidays? City of Bayswater Recreation’s popular School Holiday Programs offer a fun-filled range of activities across our local recreation centres. Join us at The RISE and the Morley Sport & Recreation Centre every school holidays for interactive clinics including sports, crafts, games, and creative workshops designed for children aged 5–10.

City of Bayswater Recreation now also runs its Youth Programs specifically for young people aged 11–17, expanding our offering beyond our traditional 5–12 year old holiday activities.

School Holiday Programs

City of Bayswater Recreation’s Kids Holiday Programs offer a fun, active and creative line-up of clinics for children aged 5–12 years at The RISE and Morley Sport & Recreation Centre.

Designed to keep kids engaged, moving and social during the school holidays, each clinic runs as a standalone session, and is delivered by experienced staff in a safe, supportive environment. Programs are ideal for building confidence, trying new activities and making new friends, while giving parents flexible holiday options.

All programs $31.50 per child, per session.
Prices are subject to change as of the 1st July 2026

  • Bookings are essential! Enrolment is only confirmed once full payment is received.​
  • Sign-In/Sign-Out: Parents/guardians must sign children in and out at the beginning and end of each session.​

Mini Chefs
Mini chefs will learn basic food preparation, teamwork, and kitchen safety. Through hands-on cooking, food-based games, and interactive group activities, children will develop independence, fine motor skills, and confidence in the kitchen. Our Mini Chefs will be baking muffins, creating their own mini pizzas & making yoghurt parfaits!

Basketball
Young players will learn essential skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and defence through fun drills, relay races, and modified games. With skill-based activities, teamwork challenges, and plenty of match play, this clinic is perfect for beginners looking to develop their basketball skills in a supportive, fun, and high-energy environment.

Amazing Race
Come along and test your adventure skills at our Amazing Race Holiday Clinic! Working in teams, they’ll complete fun physical challenges, puzzles, and creative tasks to earn points. This clinic is perfect for kids who love adventure, friendly competition, and high-energy fun.

Crazy Craft
Kids will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities. Through fun craft projects, games, and creative exploration, children will develop fine motor skills and artistic expression in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment. Perfect for kids who love to create, decorate, and take home their own handmade creations.

LEGO Masters
Join us for a fun-filled LEGO & Building Clinic designed for creativity, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving! Kids will jump into exciting challenges with games, prizes, and plenty of opportunities to create and collaborate, this action-packed session keeps young builders engaged from start to finish.

Net-Sports
Players will learn the basics of pickleball, badminton, and volleyball through fun drills, skill challenges, and plenty of game play. With rotating teams, rally challenges, and exciting group games, kids will develop hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and game awareness in a fun, active, and supportive environment.

Mad Science
Young scientists will explore exciting hands-on experiments and fun engineering challenges. Through interactive activities and teamwork, children will develop problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a love for discovery in a fun, messy, and high-energy environment.

Robot Races
Robot Races is a fast-paced, hands-on STEM session where kids explore coding, creativity, and teamwork through Bee-Bots, Ozobots, and Sphero robots. It’s an exciting blend of problem-solving and play that turns every challenge into an unforgettable learning adventure.

Dance & Drama
Students will explore acting, movement, and performance skills through fun drama games, character creation, imaginative storytelling, and dance choreography. This clinic blends expressive arts with teamwork and performance skills.

Multi-Sport
Players will develop passing, dribbling, shooting, and teamwork skills across a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, and dodgeball. Through fun warm-up games, skill-based drills and exciting team challenges, children will improve coordination, fitness, and game strategy in an engaging and supportive environment.

1. How do I enrol my child into the School Holiday Program?
➢ To register online, create an online phoenix account using the below link. If you have registered for swim school or a membership online, then you may already have an online phoenix account
➢ Log into your account and follow our “how-to-guide” when registering & paying for a clinic online.

2. Can I enrol both of my children into the class?
You sure can, you just need to make sure each child has been added under the adult profile online.
Step 1: Follow prompts and add first child’s clinic to your cart.
Step 2: Select “Enrol another student” and add in your second children’s details and the clinic they wish to do.
Step 3: Follow the prompts to pay for your cart.
Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 if any children want to do more than 1 clinic.

3. How do I know there is space in the class for my child?
The online portal will show the remaining spots available in each clinic. If you cannot see the clinic you wish to do, then it is full. You are welcome to call us to be placed on the waitlist for those clinics.

4. Why can’t I see my child in the online portal?
All children need to be linked to their parent/guardian profile in our system. Please make sure you create your online phoenix account using the email address we have on file for you. You will then be asked to add in your child’s details under your account so that they are linked to you. If you cannot see them still, please call us and we will confirm if your email address is correct and your child is linked to you in our system.

5. What happens if my child is sick and unable to attend the class?
We missed seeing them in the class but are happy to provide a refund for the clinic when a medical certificate can be produced. All refunds are at management discretion, as per our Terms & Conditions.

6. What happens if I accidentally enrolled my child into the wrong clinic online?
Not to worry, please email/call us with your child’s details and the clinic error and we will endeavour to change them into the clinic they want to go to (subject to available spots). No refunds will be given for enrolment errors.

7. How do I know that the enrolment has processed?
You will receive a confirmation email from us within 24hrs of registration. Please call us if you do not receive this email.

Youth Programs

City of Bayswater Recreation is excited to now offer youth programs specifically for young people aged 11–17 – expanding our offering beyond our traditional 5–10 year old holiday activities.

These pop-up sessions at The RISE, Morley Sport & Recreation Centre and Bayswater Waves are designed to give teens and pre-teens more opportunities to get active, try new activities and connect with others in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Consisting of programs such as TeenFit, Craft & Sip and K-Pop Dance, these programs are sure to have something for everyone. Watch this space as we approach the next school holidays for more information.

Tots Tumble Time

Tot’s Tumble Time is a weekly early years movement program for toddlers aged 12 months to 4 years, delivered at The RISE during the school term on Wednesdays from 9:30am.

Designed as a fun, play-based session for children and caregivers, the program supports early development through guided movement, free play and structured activities that build confidence, coordination, balance and body awareness in a safe, supportive environment.

Tot’s Tumble Time provides a welcoming space for toddlers to explore movement, develop essential skills, and enjoy quality time with their caregivers as part of a regular weekly program.
