Looking for a fun and engaging way to keep the kids active these school holidays? Bayswater Waves is excited to announce its Swim, Splash & Soar April Swim School Holiday Programs, running from Monday, 14 April to Thursday, 17 April 2025.

Designed for swimmers of all skill levels, our four-day intensive program helps children improve their confidence and technique in the water. Whether your child is just starting out or working towards advanced skills, we have a program to suit their needs.

Stages 1-7 sessions are available for kids at varying skill levels, as well as specialised classes for Freestyle and Backstroke. Those looking for more of a challenge are covered too, with multiple Squad and Bronze Medallion sessions taking place throughout the week.

IMPORTANT – Bayswater Waves Roof Replacement Works 

The City of Bayswater is undertaking important improvement works at Bayswater Waves from 7 April 2025. While the works are confirmed, some temporary closures and program adjustments will be required throughout April and early May to ensure safety while contractors are onsite. At Bayswater Waves, we believe that learning to swim is essential to our culture and should be a safe and enjoyable experience. With pools, lakes and beaches being a part of everyday life in WA, it is vital that both children and adults are able to swim confidently and capably. Endorsed by the Royal Life Saving Society and registered with Swim Australia and Austswim, the Bayswater Waves Swim School offers over 450 comprehensive classes each week for infants, children and adults of all ages and skill levels.

Existing customers can also take advantage of our Online Portal. Register your account here and select Log In at the top RHS of the screen.  Follow the prompts to register your account. Further information on how to use our online portal is also available.

Reminder to Parents: 

  • All Swim School enrolments using a KidSport voucher must be processed by calling Swim School
  • Swim School Office can be contacted on 9276 6538.

IMPORTANT: All changes to lessons days/times and sibling discounts can only be managed via the Swim School Office. This cannot be done online.

If more than one student from the same family are enrolling then a sibling discount (5%) is available, however for this to be applied the enrolment needs to be taken either in person at swim school office or over the phone.

You can kick-start your baby’s lifelong love of the water, from just 5 months old, with our Infant Swimming Lessons.

Held in the warmth of the Hydrotherapy Pool, our swim teachers use fun games and activities specifically designed to enhance your little ones social, physical and emotional development in the water.

You will see your baby’s confidence grow as they learn to play and swim in the water.

Classes run for 30 minutes, from Monday to Sunday, at Bayswater Waves.

Held in our heated indoor swimming pool your child will love getting in the water for every lesson, all year round.

Our Pre-School and School Age swimming lessons are specifically designed to:

  • Develop your children’s swim strokes,
  • Improve their technique,
  • Increase their fitness,
  • Learn water safety skills, and
  • Grow their love of swimming.

Our Pre-School classes are for children aged 3-6yrs, while each of the School Age classes are for those aged 6 and above.

Swimming lessons as a teenager should be about enjoyment, socialising and improving in specific areas of their swim development.

Our Teenage Swimming Lessons at Bayswater Waves are the best way for your young adult to continue their love of water, in a fun and encouraging environment.

Designed for students aged between 12-16yrs, each class has a focus on:

  • Master swim strokes,
  • Define swim techniques,
  • Learn new skills, and
  • Develop strong friendships.

Our Teenage Swimming Lessons run for 30 minutes and are held in the heated 25m Indoor Pool, making it easy and enjoyable to swim all year round.

It’s never too late to start swimming!

Our Adult Swimming Lessons at Bayswater Waves are the best way to get in the water, regardless of your swim skills and abilities.

Aimed specifically for beginner and intermediate swimmers aged 18yrs or older, these 50-minute classes are a great way of learning and developing new skills and swim techniques, in a safe and supportive environment.

Held in the heated 25m Indoor Pool, you can enjoy learning with new friends all year round.

Aimed at students in stage 6 or above, our Junior Development Squad at Bayswater Waves is the perfect introduction on how to train and swim against other competitors.

Suspending your Swimming Lessons

If you are going away or know your child may miss a minimum of 2 weeks of their swimming lessons throughout the year, why not put their enrolment on hold.

Suspending their enrolment is quick and easy. Simply click the Suspension Form link below to submit it online, or fill out the PDF version of our Suspension Form and either send it via email to swim.school@bayswater.wa.gov.au, or drop it off to the Bayswater Waves Swim School office.

Cancelling your Swimming Lessons

Is suspending your enrolment not an option and you need to cancel your swimming lessons?

A Direct Debit Cancellation Notification Form must be completed and returned to the Swim School Office to cancel perpetual swimming lessons.

Just click the “Cancellation Form” link below to submit the form online. Alternatively, Cancellation Notification Forms are available in PDF form here, from the Swim School Office, at Front Reception or by email upon request. Completed Notification Forms can be submitted to the Swim School Office or via email to swim.school@bayswater.wa.gov.au.

The form must be sent to the Swim School Office no later than 4 business days prior to your next debit date. No refunds or credits will be issued for any unused lessons.

CANCELLATION FORM

If you unexpectedly miss a swimming lesson, please contact us on the day so that we can offer a Practice Pass.

Our Practice Pass includes one free access to our general pools for either 2 Adults and 2 Children, or, 1 Adult and 3 Children.

This pass is valid for 3 years and is redeemable during opening hours, other than the relevant lesson time.

Please note: If your child is currently enrolled in lessons and you want to change/move the day or time this can only be done by calling swim school.

Enrolments using a Kidsport voucher need to be processed by Swim School office.

Existing Customers:

  • Accounts are set up with the parent name using the same email address attached to your existing (child’s) enrolment and parent DOB. If you are unsure please call swim school office.
  • The email address must be unique to that parent (ie. not same email address as other parent/guardian who may have an account such as a gym membership).
  • The parent setting up the account must be the one noted as Parent/Guardian contact on the child account.
  • Only one parent can hold the account and view children’s progress.
  • Once the parent account is set up, siblings will show from the dash board.

New Customers:

Accounts are set up in the parents name – this will be person responsible for paying the account and will be the primary contact.

Siblings are then enrolled under the parent account.
